Job Opportunity- Water Treatment Plant Operator Trainee

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, possess good communication skills, computer skills, and follow written/oral instructions.  Candidates must have a valid driver's license. 

Must sit for class IV Water operator test within one year. 

Duties include but not limited to: Makes regular tours of plant and equipment; records readings from meters and instruments; checks functioning of equipment; regulates and adjusts motors, pumps, blowers, compressors, valves, and other apparatus to meet changing operating conditions; collects samples for laboratory analysis; adjusts chemical feed rates; mixes dry settling agents into solution; changes ton chlorine cylinders; makes minor or emergency repairs; maintains buildings and grounds; performs routine laboratory tests; prepares reports and maintains logs.

Special Requirements: Employment is contingent on passing a background check and drug screen.  Operators are essential personnel and are required to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
