Duties include but not limited to: Record readings from meters and instruments; regulate, maintain, and adjust motors, pumps, blowers, and other apparatus to meet changing operating conditions. Collect samples for laboratory analysis, perform routine laboratory tests, prepare and maintain logs. Operators are essential personnel and are required to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays; a sample schedule will be provided to candidates.     Frederick Water is a public water and sewer utility that has an immediate opening for a Water Treatment Plant Operator that will be located at the new 8 MG Water Treatment Facility located in Stephenson, VA. The Plant Operator will assist in ensuring the facility is operational and meets permit requirements by performing routine operational tasks including skilled and technical work on water treatment plant equipment and facilities. The Operator will perform duties including SCADA process control, sampling and analysis, monitoring and controlling treatment operations, data entry, preparing monthly reports, and regular preventive maintenance. The facility utilizes advanced treatment technology and is subject to stringent standards and state/federal regulations.
