At the public hearing held on May 24, 2022, at 5:00 PM at the Frederick Water Administration Building located at 315 Tasker Road, Stephens City, VA, the Frederick Water Board of Directors received public comment on the proposed Base Fee and Consumption Rates.  Base Fees are fixed fees that customers pay each billing cycle and include 1,000 gallons per month of water and sewer service.  Consumption Rates are variable fees that customers pay each billing cycle reflective of the amount of water and services consumed.  The proposal recommended a 20% increase in the Sewer base fee for all customers effective July 1, 2022, and Water and Sewer consumption rate increases of 8% effective July 1 each year from 2022 to 2026.  Hearing no objection, the Board approved the rate increase.
