Frederick Water to resume disconnections of delinquent accounts in June 2021.

Frederick Water suspended disconnections last year in response to the coronavirus-related declared state of emergency and in accordance with the Virginia General Assembly Appropriation Act Amendments, Item 4-14. However, past due balances have continued to grow so that accounts receivable arrearages now exceed one percent of annual operating revenues.  On April 20, 2021, the Frederick Water Board of Directors voted to resume disconnections for delinquent accounts.  Disconnections will begin in June.

Customers are urged to bring their accounts into good standing.  Payment Plans will be available up until the due date that will be listed on the Disconnection Notice.  Once disconnected, payment must be made in full before service will be restored.  To sign up for a Payment Plan, contact Customer Service by email at customerservice@frederickwater.com or by phone at (540) 868-1061.
